Social and cultural change: contraceptive use: 61, contraceptive methods 55, comparable rates to more developed world: the role of public health and family planning education. Fertility transition= cultural transitions: large families=declining importance, social status of women: greater empowerment over fertility. Cultural transition: one that welcomes and encourages lower fertility and provides women the means to do this. Along with cultural changes, some countries can strategically allow things.
