Human/cultural regions: i. e. different areas of the usa say soft drink in a different term (soda, cola, pop) Northern: largely unpopulated, north of the province. Can define regions based on prosperous areas of the province, language, culture, etc: regions of canada. Atlantic canada: greater fishing areas, climate, economic activity, particular forms of music. Canadian shield: under the northern hemisphere; inbetween the. Quebec: largely populated area of people speaking french, french culture. Western mountains: depending on spatial perspectives, looking at different areas are described differently (i. e. regions of ontario vs. regions of canada, spatial scale used impacts how we define the earth"s surface.
