Spatial interaction: the level of movement or communication between two locations. Graph: as distance increases your interaction will decrease "amount or degree or intensity of interaction declines as distance increases. Distance decay: interaction between locations diminishes in intensity and frequency as distance increases. Distance decay: the decline of an activity or function with increasing distance. When something is close to you, you are more likely to go to it. Friction of distance: the inhibiting (limiting) effect of distance on interactions. If it cost a lot of money to go to a specific place then you are less likely to go there. Accessibility and connectivity: critical fro the nature and level of spatial interaction w. Accessibility: the ease with which distance can be crossed w. Connectivity : the tangible and intangible ways that places are connected w. Friction of distance: how easy or difficult it is to overcome the distance that separates places.
