The emperor do change something"s, but they do not change too must. Their land is very poor so they need to expand the empire. China has a huge exports since marco polo 7 centuries. Chinese export for one thing - silver: the importance of silver. Peasants have to pay their taxes are paid in silver. Europeans can supply silver, much taken from new world. Europeans take silver to china, tea and other things to europe.
