I is the impulsive reactions that we have - an unpredictable reaction, like when your hand touches a hot stove. In school they take on more roles - teacher, coach, peers etc. When they become more mature they assimilate more roles, like from their community - impression management. You learn the normal and abnormal ways to behave. Social interaction: all the ways we interact in different social settings, theory of the social self.
