Health studies sept. 9 th (stone article continuation: 3) security/social capital. Do we feel secure and confident in our environment? . Do we feel confident going to clinic and feeling secure that we are going to get the help we need? . To know that we are cared for and looked after no matter the circumstance. Cosmetic surgeries are now paid for by the patient (elective surgery), whereas non- elective surgeries are still covered under our canadian health care. We pick and choose what the needs of people are for health and well-being. Some people feel they deserve the security and social capital: i. e. someone who makes big money and pays big income tax. Muddies the interpretation of social capital: i. e. if we look at our work force, we expect recognition for our hard work- we look for merit (i. e. bonuses and raises)
