Cosmetic surgeries are now paid for by the patient (elective surgery), whereas non- elective surgeries are still covered under our canadian health care. We pick and choose what the needs of people are for health and well-being. Some people feel they deserve the security and social capital: i. e. someone who makes big money and pays big income tax. Muddies the interpretation of social capital: i. e. if we look at our work force, we expect recognition for our hard work- we look for merit (i. e. bonuses and raises)
