Divided into symptoms that are (acute) positive(go away) and (chronic) negative (long lasting) Some similarity with bipolar disorder, autism significant misdiagnosis with bd in adults an autism children. Positive symptoms hallucinations- false sensory experiences, most commonly auditory (commentary, instructions, two voices fighting, degradation) Hearing voices - global surveys reveal that more than 5% of pop. hears voices.
