Document Summary

Why do we graph: to inform our clinical decisions, so we know if we are effective. Two kinds of graphs: line graph, cumulative. Graphs are a primary component of aba. Helps us to understand the changes in a behaviour as a result of interventions. Increase a behaviour, or: decrease a behaviour and usually the focus is on one person but could be a group of individuals. In any situation, we use graphs to look at the dependent variables we are measuring to see if there is an increase or decrease in behaviour. Phase line would go in between baseline data and treatment data: phase labels, a label written above each phase. Cumulative graph: differs from line graph, each data point plotted represents a total of all the behaviour that has occurred up to that point, total amount of behaviour to date, will go up, or stay flat.
