KINESIOL 2E03 Lecture Notes - Lecture 10: Anterior Longitudinal Ligament, Posterior Longitudinal Ligament, Vertebra
Document Summary
Za joints is point of interaction of sap and iap. Disk is sandwiched between bodies of 2 vertebrae and made of 2 parts: annulus fibrosus: circular and has a lot of collagen (the tough layers) about. During exion of spine, this core shifts posteriorly and during extension, core shifts anteriorly. Ligaments: vertebral bodies: all (anterior longitudinal ligament)(covers all front of vertebra)(limits extension of spine) and pll (posterior longitudinal ligament) (skinnier)(limits exion of spine) runs along the length of all bodies, spinous processes: Interspinous (between the spinous process and not continuous)(limits exion) and supra-spinous (continuous through all spinous processes) (more super cial)(limits exion) ligament: ligamnetum flavum: runnings along posterior aspect of spinal canal limits. Every nerve begins at spinal cord as spinal nerve nerves have 2 big jobs to do: send out messages to rest of body and take messages back in each spinal.
