Pain in dorsal aspect of wrist, swelling. X-ray: a form of electromagnetic radiation that can penetrate through the human body and produce shadow-like images of the bones and some of the organs. Ct scan: a computerized tomography scan combines a series of x-ray images from different angles and uses computer processing to create cross sectional images or slices of the bones in greater detail. One ct equivalent to 10 x-rays (radiation exposure) Can lead to bankart lesion from anterior glenoid fossa hitting glenohumeral. Held in flexed external rotation (anterior dislocation) Can have axillary nerve compression leading to whole arm being numb. The longer it"s out the more inside damage may occur. Can also get slap tear (anterior posterior labral damage, bicep tendon pulls labrum away and off: dye will show space. Mri: magnetic resonance imaging uses a magnetic field to temporarily realign. Hydrogen atoms to create detailed images of organs and tissues.
