Canada begins a long string of incredibly good luck that continues until today. In northern ontario for instance mining was popular and had major booms in the mining industry. Get american companies very eager to sell their stuff in canada because canada is doing so well. Branch plants of all the major companies (ford- american company) Era of steam power was in the first industrial revolution. The products that are made are increasingly standardized. Chemicals are also fundamental when it comes to this. Time-motion studies: scientific managers looming over workers tracking their every movement breaking it down and timing them to do their work more efficiently (aka speeding up the process) Progressivism: expand the state to match the power corporations; big government to balance out big company.
