Connected to rise of service sector, emotional labour and precarious labour. Big change in women doing waged work and the raise in female wages. There"s more females in god and med school but females overall do not have an income as high as men. Single earners in families went from 51% to 17%. An enormous amount if goods making has declined but, people are working more than ever. Where they are working is in the service sector. This is happening because of economic and time pressure. People don"t have much time to make things at home so, they buy the service ex. buying food rater than making it from scratch. The service sector is very broad, not just cleaners or cooks but also professors. Comes along with the rise of the service sector. Labour on an emotional level; putting in work to help your client with emotional needs.
