Has a very big impact to the economy because it was a big source of food: residential fisher y, starts with placeholding, there was huge race so that people could get the best spots. Instead of having place holders there were not people doing the fishing: develops into newfoundland fishery, outports, where the fishing happened no connection to the land at all. Only focus is on the sea: e. g. Idea is you go to the aborigials, more competitive and higher oressure on the fur trade (pressures from imports) because of the the high demand: montreal network, you needed lots of transport (large amount).
