Overwhelmed by the number of people wanting to join, lot of turnover, a lot of people didn"t stay or would move around lots. Greatest growth of a non-religious organization that nobody had seen before. Doesn"t last very long, theres a rapid decline in membership after this. Knights structure were broad and flexible (structure that depended on the circumstances) Different from craft unions since they didn"t focus on one narrow group of workers.
