Top: transmit voltage is low, too dark. How to control the amplitude on the receive side. We can do this by using tgc and overall gains. We can inc/dec the voltage of the received echoes, which have been converted to an electrical signal. Undergain: amplitude is received, and its too dark. Overgain: too bright, gains and tgc are too high. How to measure amplitude: amplitude = max mean, amplitude= mean min, amplitude= max min / 2. Def: the maximum variation of a variable from its mean. Amplitude and frequency are measures of different parameters. If you change f, amplitude wont change and vise versa: amplitude: is the strength or volume (max variation from the mean) of the sound wave, frequency: pitch. Higher frequencies = more attenuation = demonesses wave amplitude. Power: measure of how much work or energy is expended per time: units: watts or joules/second.
