MEDRADSC 3B03 Lecture Notes - Lecture 12: The Employer, Mohawk College, Mock Interview
Document Summary
Where employer is trying to figure out if you can do the job - practical. Close the door & windows in your room. Only window open on your computer screen should be te video platform you are using. You wouldn"t bring your dog or child to an interview in an office, so take the same approach for online interviews. Set yourself up against a completely blak background. Do not sit right up against the wall - allow for at least 3 ft min between the back of your head & the wall, so you don"t blend into the background & flatten your shot. Do not use your favourite virtual background or any type of filter. Slouching on a cough or in a big armchair will make you look less professional. Go with a low-backed chair that doesn"t creak when you move. Get plenty of light overall but no so much light that it creates a glare on any eyeglasses.
