What is digital society: technologies + behaviours + practices. In a digital society, multimedia content is accessed, shared, utilized, and created by millions of individuals. Digital society : in 2011 a united nations report declared that access to the internet is a human right. What is multimedia: the combination of diverse media, especially electronic media, into a coherent communicative or expressive object or experience. What are distinctive features": all media technologies have unique qualities and capabilities that contribute to the conception, presentation, and reception of a message. There is a relationship between form and content. How do multimedia artists harness the distinctive features" of a medium or technology: identify and understand the distinctive features of a medium. Snapshot: forefront these features when creating a message derived from an observation about the world, communicate observations that are often conceptual, and that require the viewer to read the interplay between form and content.
