Article is decidedly negative is facebook making us lonely . They way that human knowledge is produced begins with conjecture: once it is out in the world, that conjecture is subject to criticism & only through criticism can we gain knowledge. Hiding is not a negative thing: ie. bus many people, but you"re not expected to talk to everyone. Human beings have strategies designed to assess the crowd we"re in. Cognitive compartmentalizing: you stop one part of the system from knowing what"s going on in another part of the system. People want the pleasure of the imagination of winning the lottery. The way people treat communication through mobile technology, you know that your data is being saved: ie. you know that your snap can be screen shot.
