Digital technologies are part of the fabric of everyday life and are integral to our experience of the world: with technology some senses become emphasized well others become desensitized. Keep in mind for the form of technology used in assignment 1. These technologies don"t simply assist us in our daily life they shape our daily life: our work, play, relationships, values and physical bodies: helps us how we relate with one another. It structures our interactions, our personal relationships and our self-presentation: because of this constitutive force, it doesn"t necessarily determine these things but it helps us understand and shape these things. Mcluhan puts forth auto-amputation" and self-amputation" in a discussion of how our senses are modified by our use of technology. How are our senses modified by our use of technology: think about mcluhan"s ideas and how we negotiate how media shapes our experiences and the world around us, and how it mediates around us.
