Music for film & television lecture 1. These films are targeted towards people who grew up with this perspective. Music is powerful, and there is no right answer when it comes to interpreting something even though a director may have intended their film to be depicted a certain way. I(cid:374)terpretatio(cid:374) of a fil(cid:373) (cid:449)ill (cid:271)e differe(cid:374)t a(cid:373)o(cid:374)gst all; dire(cid:272)tor"s purpose, ge(cid:374)eral u(cid:374)dersta(cid:374)di(cid:374)g, and unique interpretation. Example: apollo 13 (1995) shower scene/ready room. James horner wrote music for avatar and titanic. Based on a true story; 3rd attempt to land human beings on the moon, on the way to the moon there was a problem, through efforts they survived.
