Article : mindful presence: being with in our nursing care. Much of the article was discussing about how we should get to know or mae time to understand the patients. There are different needs (psychological and spiritual) How to incorporate: slow down, sit down, focus, learn about patients as people and empathize. Every day nurses have the opportunity to connect with vulnerable patients who need comfort and reassurance. Every day, nurses have the opportunity to better a patient"s hospital experience. One on one time doesn"t take that much time. I wanted to do something in the healthcare field, and i thought that nursing was a great profession. I had a lot of respect for nurses and the time and passion that they dedicate to the job. I like that it is caring for others and helping others out. Caring: concern over a person, events, projects or things. Being mindful and present with a patient.
