Stressors: do(cid:374)"t (cid:374)ecessarily lead to stress response until: eustressors- positive, distress: negative, neutral- comfortable with talking to old patients unless preceptor watching. Includes external stimuli and individual judgment and physiological response stimuli plus perception leads to response: stress nonspecific response whether short or chronic cause similar responses. Stress is individual judgment conscious appraisal , demand-resource imbalance.
