When we use punishment, it will deter that person and others from going out and committing that same crime, as it will make them think twice about doing it due to the possible punishment. How much punishment should you get if you commit a crime: when we punish someone, we are causing them pain in order to stop them and other people from causing other different people pain. It is considered an investment: all punishment is evil. They say to feel free to hurt the person more, if doing so will make society better since more people will know about it and more people will be afraid to commit the crime. If you can stop more people from being assaulted, you should: utilitaria(cid:374)(cid:859)s say you should do it. As long as more good than bad occurs (more people will be afraid to go. Capital punishment: sentencing someone to death.
