Even if we disregard ideas from sensations, we may still be deceived by evil genius (who already is able to deceive us about thing we can clearly perceive) Demonstrate that a supremely good god exists who would not allow us to be deceived by evil genius. Meditation iii offers 2 proofs for existence of all good god. Descartes needs the evil genius to come to his first conclusion (if you think, you exist), but he must get rid of the evil genius to come to other truths. An all good god would not allow the evil genius to exist. How can this existence be demonstrated if there is only one thing we are certain of that we exist. A god must exist because nothing else would exist if nothing had come first. E. g. looking at footprints in the sand infer that someone walked and left the footprints even if we cannot see the person.
