Historically minded assessment recognizes the relative nature of our preferences for one technology over another. 2) it erroneous to ascribe causal effects to tech in itself. Presupposes that tech has casual efficacy independent of the context in which it is situated. It is informed by human choices and decisions: b) tech informs the very nature of our being, a reciprocal causal relation exists between us and our tech.
