Role played by transatlantic slavery in the development of modern capitalism: especially contemporary financial system. One of the richest countries in the world with natural involves local actors as well as multinational corporations. 1885: population was 20 million, after a decade it was halved resources. Genocide level of brutality in plantations was so high: people executed if even perceived as not working hard enough. Currently considered the deadliest conflict zone since wwii. Black plunder and white democracy: robbery of property, can"t have one without the other.
