Islamic Theology  Ahl al­hadith­ people of the hadith; for the it is the traditions  as the main source of knowledge the Quran is brief; and does not give details although the Quran is vital; they put emphasize on hadith as well  Ahmad b­hanabal one of the four school of legal thought bilakay­ do not ask how  human reasoning is faulty; it is better to rely on a weak tradition; it is not authentic; there is a  possibility; according to the people of the hadith these came to be the Sunni­ they emphasize the traditions there are four schools of law all companions should be respected; leave decision making to god regarding the creation of the Quran; it was not created­ because there was no tradition­ reasoning  say that it was created there is no hadith that said that it was not created  Mamun imposed the idea that the Quran was created a democrat; flogged­ Hanabal because of this he became a martyred; and a hero the break through came through­ ash’ari was a mustzari  came up with the story of the three brothers based on reasoning asked about the three brothers  Ash’ari took on the ahl­ al hadith; following Ahmed d Hanbal good and evil are independent; even when we do not know good and evil are not objective­ you know them through revelation revelation was important­ what god tells you emphasize of the power of god he tells us who is right and wrong if god wanted to he could p mutarzi­ said you must punish those who do evil and reward those who do good  god does not create illness, but wellness ash’ari would argue that you cannot question god; evil and good is up to god when know that due to hadith god has human feature; there are traditions that god will put his foot in hell they believe in the literal interpretation of god they look at the power of god and not reasoning god can do what he likes justice is not apart of gods attributes they believe that god can be seen  since they emphasize the power of god; he is the creator of everything  he s the originator of everything he also creates our actions the question here is freewill god is the creator of acts; but he does not make us do them­ KASB­ means to acquire ; we earn  those acts who would be responsible of evil acts? it is a slippery slope­ that god is the originator of all acts they talk
