Politics are really about which leader is the best in keeping union and bringing the country together: result: Politics of elite accommodation rather than of ideological division; The public is not educated to develop longer-lasting ideas about appropriate policies; volatile voters. Absent mandate : by voting we are choking who gets elected, and the party who was given the power can listen to the ideas of the voters.
