The problem with democracy is f you give the people which is the majority the say in the city well the people don"t know whats good for them because politics is complicated. The problem of democracy is that most people don"t know about politics and they still get elected. Democracy selects for the wrong qualities for persuasiveness, how effectively one can affect peoples opinions whereas what we should elect based on honesty, judgement, power. Better way: social science both include intelligence and social skills. One of plates criticism of democracy if you allow people in democracy there will be an inconsistency and the solution is in book 10. China"s communism is an example of people being appointed by being tested and then moving up by how much effort you put.
