Becomes the dominant strain of thinking of democracy thinking in the late 1980s. Decisoin of political system, political community, and educative system is what makes participatory democracy. Delibreative people look at is how deliberation produces better deiciosns, instead the focus be on the people, the focus will be on the decisions. The process of deliberation will produce better political outcomes. Delibtrative democracy (epistemic): deliberation produces the best possible knowledge. Aristotle argued that the one advantage of democracy the more different perspectives about something the more you know about it. Deliberative demoracy: look at people partciparintg in the right way. It doesn"t matter how many people participate, what matters is that the arguments participate. 3. you can no longer just vote for what happens for what is good for you. What liberalism and republicanism have in common make politics a matter of will. Have two different ways of sorting out what people want.
