Pervasive worry occurring on most days occurring for more than 6 months, have trouble controlling anxiety. Person is not worried about having a disorder. Motor tension symptoms:: muscle tension, trembling, shaking, muscle aches, soreness, restlessness, fatigue. Autonomic hyperactivity symptoms: tachycardia (rapid heart beat), sweating, dizziness, nausea (difficulty digesting, loss of appetite), gi complaints. Vigilance, scanning symptoms: exaggerated startle response, trouble concentrating, irritability, trouble falling or staying asleep. Usually starts in 20s or 30s, with high proportion in childhood or adolescence. Most common anxiety disorder among young, old. Easier to meet the criteria if you are a child.
