Document Summary

When your visual information is in conflict with information from another sense, you tend to bias your trust toward your sense of vision. (seeing is believing) John was rendered blind at the age of 30 by an occipital lobe stroke. Variations in amplitude affect the perception of brightness. Wavelength (distance btwn the peaks of two successive waves) Variations in wavelength affect the perception of colour. Humans are only sensitive to a small section of the light spectrum, we call this is the visible spectrum (360-750) Pure light: refers to light made up of a single wavelength, perceived colour is described as completely saturated. Natural light: will be a combination of wavelengths, described as desaturated. Light first passes though the curved cornea, which begins the focussing process. Cornea: a transparent window at the front of the eye. Sclera: the white part that covers the rest of the eye, a tougher membrane. After the cornea, the light passes through the pupil.
