Heritable Variants lead to differential reproductive success
Sexual Selection: evolution of characteristics not because of survival advantage
but mating advantage
Intrasexual competition: members of same
sex compete with each other for mates
Intersexual competition: members of 1 sex
prefer certain qualities in mates.
Male Voice Pitch Experiment: females find lower voice more attractive.
When tested on the “Hatsa” tribe which is
secluded from the mass media, it was
observed that males with deeper voices left
behing more offspring
