Document Summary

Something is bigger than the rules of society. Sometimes your culture"s laws and rules are maybe unjust or unfair. Start to make your own judgement of how your society should be. From that, you start deciding whether or not there is social justice. This actually has to make society better in kohlberg"s view. Wanting things to change because it doesn"t fulfill your every wish would be pre-conventional. Stage 5: social contract orientation: 15 percent of people get here. Recognize rules, laws etc. are actually important, but sometimes they are wrong. Sometimes the laws are not ensuring fairness, not protecting member"s basic rights. If we have biased laws, i"m going to question said laws. Engaging in questioning of laws, trying to change them. Still believe that democratic process is important, so use it to change the laws, not breaking the laws to change things. Laws are logically necessary to help society to function.
