Dsm iv/5: attention deficit hyperactive disorder; 2 dimensions- hyperactivity/impulsivity and inattention. Dsm 5: 3 types- predominantly inattentive type (adhd-i); predominantly hyperactive/impulsive type (adhd-hi) and combined (adhd-c); adhd-hi may be an early developmental stage of adhd-c; what seems to be adhd-hi in preschoolers may better be considered od behaviours. Symptoms must be present before age 12 and be present for at least 6 months. Symptoms must occur in at least 2 settings. Secondary features: motor skills, intelligence, cognition-executive functions, adaptive functioning, social behaviour, sleep, accidents.
