The soul and total goal is the seeking out of pleasure. We are motivated entirely by pleasure and to minimize unpleasure. Guided by two instincts: sexuality - 1890-1920. Most people hated this because it was considered a scandalous act: aggression phantatose. The human nature we are searching for. Need is what you need to survive, and a drive is a psychological motivation. Primary process: if it feels good then do it and do it now, has control over basic reflex"s, cathexis - process of investment of mental or emotional energy in person, object or ideas. Predicate thinking: difficulty distinguishing between similar images, it can be fooled, invest in one image thinking that it is another, dream symbolism images. Knows only images: doesn"t know smell or touch, cannot see, images are stored in the brain and the id can access memory images.
