Fatt is making up hypothetical constructs to integrate observations about intercorrelated trait dimensions. The trait perspective is one of the oldest and most common. The factors that are produced are hypothetical constructs. Tries to explain intercorrelations, does not identify factors results depend on measures. The big five (the main 5 factor model) Dimension : extroversion - introversion, social adaptability, assertiveness, sociability and ambition, positive emotionality e. Friendly compliance: conformity b. c. d, sociability f. a. Level of socialization: conscientious - will - level to which we stick with things, will to achieve, dependability c. Self-control f: neuroticism - emotional stability, emotional control, emotionality, adjustment, emotional stability. A very high proportion of the variability can be accounted for by the extent to which they fall along these dimensions. This is the best way to describe variability.
