Document Summary

Sexual strategy theory (sst) - its all in our genes. Men can produce a ton of offspring, females can only have limited amounts of babies. A woman"s gametes are a lot more dif cult to produce. Males have cheap sperm, if they can get it to viable egg they have chance of producing offspring. From a male"s perspective it would be nice to gain access to as many women as possible: male-male competition of mates. Biggest and strongest male is the one who gets the mate. Aggression helped males make vessels for their genes (stronger males passed on their traits) Females wouldn"t bene t at all from being aggressive in these terms. Females: gender differences in relational aggression: women are more likely to do this than men. Low variability in the number of vessels for their genes. You have to compete for mates - males compete for quantity, females compete for quality.
