In 1870 he becomes an orator, he was able to touch and move people of faith, and was banned by the sunni majority in the country: avicenna ibn sina a philosopher, philosophers argued they can gain the same truth as a prophet would, philosophers argued revelation was important for the masses however there was a counter argument which said philosophers were only for the elite hence they were more important than prophets, heretic: someone who goes against the religious norms, afghani was seen as a heretic for raising the above issues hence he was thrown out of.
