Exploring mood and thoughts and how those are affecting him. What is the client"s understanding of the situation. Evaluated on the person"s experience of the process. It makes sense that you might feel this way. Client is the expert, they know what they need. Role of sw is to nd strengths that the individual may not recognize that they have, and then amplifying them. De-pathologizes, not something inherently wrong with the person. You have resources in your life to make changes! Accepting client"s perspective without making it right or wrong. Despite what has happened you still want to maintain this relationship.
