Thursday, october 5, 2017: gender and sexuality are socially constructed; varying over times and place, historical shifts that created and promoted gender-based inequalities (biological) sex versus gender, gender identity; gender roles, transgender. Intersex: an individual whose chromosomal and/or hormonal make-up and/or sexual anatomy is different than what is typical Sexuality is socially constructed: cross-national variation in sexual experiences. Sexual experiences vary by socio-demographic variables: variation between sexualities which tells us that sexuality is socially constructed. Queer theory: contemporary canadian trends in sexual relationships, monogamy, serial monogamy, non-monogamy, casual sex, more possibility in deciding how sexual relationships might intersect with relationship status or living arrangements.
