Environmental issues tend to be very subject specific. Does concern about the environment vary by socio-demographic variables. More highly educated individuals, young people, politically liberal indivudals, urban residents all play a big role in how they express opinions about the environment. Heteorsexism: institutional and societal reinforcement of heterosexuality as the privileged and powerful norm. Heteronormativity: the belief that ones biological sex should be perfectly aligned with one"s se(cid:454)ual preferences, gender identit(cid:455), and gender role. Sexual pluralism assess sexual acts only by their meaning for the particpants. Queer theorists challenge the idea of fixed sexual orientations. Sociologists assert that sexuality and sexual orientations are also socially constructed. Sex is a mechanism by which we constitue our identities.
