When men aren"t the breadwinners of a family some may feel to asset their masculinity/ power through violence. Motives: rage, in delity, chronic abuse, stressful life events, mental illness. Intimate femicides are more likely to involve extreme and sexualized violence, be followed by suicide, involve additional victims, multiple methods.
