This perpetual con ict and power imbalance between these two groups gives this theory the name con ict theory: key aspect is historical materialism. Inherent assumption that economic activities are the base that drives us. Economic activities are any activity that people engage in that helps them produce the necessities of life, not just including money. This drives peoples behaviours and controls human society. Modes of production and economic activities can vary over time: das kapital (1867)
