Suggests that the household can be restructured; so that child care, food services, laundry services and household cleaning could be done professionally. Brought up by other family members, brought up in poverty. On the mother side, there was a linkage to the weber family, max weber was a distant cousin. Began a courtship and married in 1893. Pursued higher education at the u of heidelberg. Became the leader of a newly organized society for the dissemination of feminist ideas. Managed to attend some feminist conventions, where she would speak and so some feminist writing. Published politics and the women"s movement (1901) As max was slowly recovering, she became more active and was more well known in feminist circles. Ended up withdrawing from public and social life. Went on to make sure max was remember. Spent years working on ten volumes on max"s writings for publication.
