Say one thing it doesn"t matter but live acting the opposite way. Some part own making: world of appearances and images, we go to the gym cuase we say we wanna be healthy but within that we wanna look as attractive as we can. Governed by it but don"t want to believe it: dynamic that accepts it as currency. Society accepts and promotes our image as something we have to achieve and pay for us to succeed in this world. Attractive = you attract: we treasure and reward attractiveness. This predominately affects women women who bear this responsibility. Performed b/c of expectations society puts on women and b/c it is still valued in our society by everyone. If you are attractive, more doors are open for you. Appearance = variation of sexuality: we are not appraising attractiveness based on if you have child bearing hips or sturdy or healthy appetite. Are real, but understood as part of appearance.
