What is social injustice: violation of human rights, ignoring people"s fundamental needs, domination by a group controlling a subordinate group, marginalization of speci c groups in society, exploitation of others, cause the rich to be vili ed. How is identity connected to social injustice: privilege vs. oppression, identity is not necessarily xed to, have a voice and speak to issues, use our more marginalized identity to mark our identity far more. Social justice and prejudice: our biases and prejudice affect the decisions we make. !1: they make blindspots- if we are not aware of them they can be hurtful. Using language toward social justice: reclaiming the oppressive words, resist language being used to harm or oppress. !2: stand up and name oppressive language, recognize that there is no universally accepted word to describe any one group, changing policies regarding wording to be inclusive.
