Tips for reading theory/tips of reading feminist theory. Brief writing assignment (not for grades; will be read by me but not returned) Helps people to understand that perspectives are different, but we can still connect and unionize. An umbrella term for equality for all genders, existing in the world as a collective group. Shedding light on forms of oppression, deep rooted issues/ problems. It is against something not man hating (not it"s purpose) Offers something different helps with others, creates unity amongst people. We don"t all need to face the same violence or oppression we need to. Patriarchy is bad for everyone bad for different people in different ways. Feminism being a tool of empathy for men and women recognize the differences and stand up for each other without becoming untethered by them. Feminism shows that there are different ways to live in the world. A general concept that can be built upon.
