Document Summary

List in order the stages of the cell cycle and mitosis and briefly describe. Mitosis & dna replication what happens during each one: cell cylcle: Mitosis: cells ability to reproduce to help the body grow, heal and reproduce activities and grows. The nucleus and nucleoli are visible and intact. :is the period in cells life where it carries out the normal metabolic: gz: the centrioles begin replication, s phase: dna is replicated, g2: final prep. Early: 1st phase: chromatin condenses to produce thick strands of dna- Chromosomes: chromosomes: two identical threads, sister chromatids and centromere holds it together, nuclei disappears, centrosomes move to opposite ends of the cell, and growth of microtubules. Late: nuclear envelope breaks, microtubules attach to protein. Metaphase: chromosomes align in the middle of the cell. Anaphase: back : enzymes act to separate chromatids from each other.
