Document Summary
This paper will look at advocacy, what it means to advocate for someone, and how it can be achieved. It will talk about the importance of supporting a youth and ensuring all their needs are being met. In order for advocacy to be successful there needs to be a good relationship between the youth and the advocate (*). It will then talk about what supports need to be put in place and alternative coping mechanisms that help the youth deal with their emotions such as: frustration, anger, and sadness. Instead of projecting their frustration, anger, or sadness onto their peers in a negative way, the youth should talk about it. It then explores the process of developing ways to successfully create open communication and the benefit it brings. My name is jordan turner; i am currently working as a family support worker at.
